Job description

Our client invites applications for the position of Temporary Medical Officer. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care and support the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred healthcare services within the designated clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for patients.

  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call duties as required.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate effectively with consultants, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and administrative teams.

  • Adhere to HSE policies, clinical governance standards, and professional guidelines.

  • Participate in audit, quality improvement, and continuing professional development activities.

  • Support service delivery and patient safety initiatives.

Job requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a medical degree recognized by the Medical Council of Ireland.

  • Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Council of Ireland.

  • Demonstrate appropriate clinical experience relevant to the post.

  • Possess excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.

  • Be legally entitled to work in Ireland.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working within the Irish healthcare system.

  • Experience in acute hospital, community, or primary care settings.

  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

  • Strong commitment to patient-centred care and quality improvement
