Temporary / Locum Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team within one of Ireland’s leading acute hospital services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated consultant to provide high-quality care across obstetrics and gynaecology services while working within a supportive and progressive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-led care in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

• Deliver antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care

• Manage gynaecology outpatient clinics and surgical procedures

• Participate in on-call rota and emergency services

• Support junior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical governance

• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Mandatory

• Specialist Registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

• Previous consultant-level experience in Obs/Gynae

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Eligibility to work in Ireland

Can provide range of Gynaecological Surgery to include:

• TAH

• Vaginal hysterectomy

• Pelvic Floor repair

• Laparoscopy- Diagnostic and operative

• Operative Hysteroscopy (Myosure and TCRF resectoscope)
