Job description
Woodston Personnel are seeking an experienced Consultant in Urogynecology to join our client’s hospital in Saudi Arabia. The Consultant will provide expert clinical, surgical, and diagnostic services in the management of female pelvic floor disorders. This role includes comprehensive management of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and other urogynecological conditions. The consultant will lead service development, ensure high clinical standards, support multidisciplinary care, and contribute to education, research, and continuous quality improvement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, and urogynecologic complications.
Perform and supervise specialized surgical procedures (e.g., prolapse repairs, mid-urethral slings, laparoscopic/robotic pelvic floor surgery, fistula repairs).
Deliver outpatient services including urodynamic testing, cystoscopy, pessary fitting, and pelvic floor evaluations.
Create evidence-based management plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Manage acute and chronic urogynecologic conditions, including complex referral cases.
Ensure timely follow-up, continuity of care, and comprehensive documentation.
Provide clinical leadership to junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals in pelvic floor services.
Work closely with physiotherapists, continence nurses, urologists, colorectal surgeons, radiologists, and pain specialists.
Participate in departmental planning, strategy development, and service expansion.
Engage in on-call duties as required by the department.
Ensure compliance with national and international standards for urogynecologic care.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, morbidity and mortality reviews, and risk reduction initiatives.
Contribute to guideline development, care pathways, and standard operating procedures.
Promote patient safety, shared decision-making, and respectful, confidential care.
Provide teaching and supervision for medical students, residents, fellows, and nursing staff.
Develop and participate in training programs related to urogynecology, continence management, and pelvic floor health.
Engage in continuous professional development and support departmental educational activities.
Participate in or lead clinical research, trials, and academic publications related to urogynecology and pelvic floor medicine.
Contribute to conferences, workshops, and professional development activities.
Support innovation in surgical techniques, diagnostic methods, and patient care models.
Assist with scheduling, clinic planning, and resource optimization.
Contribute to recruitment, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.
Represent the urogynecology service in hospital committees and external professional groups.

Job requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain
Must have at least 3-5 years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience
Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
