Job description

Woodston Personnel have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Radiologist role with our client in KSA. The Consultant Radiologist is a senior medical specialist responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services and clinical expertise in the interpretation of radiological examinations. The role involves performing and reporting on a wide range of imaging studies, advising referring clinicians, contributing to multidisciplinary care, and supporting the development of safe, effective, and patient-centred radiology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and report a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.

  • Perform and supervise image-guided diagnostic and interventional procedures where appropriate.

  • Provide timely, accurate, and clinically relevant radiology reports.

  • Offer expert radiological advice to referring clinicians to support diagnosis and treatment planning.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and clinical case discussions.

  • Ensure high standards of patient safety, dignity, and care during imaging procedures.

  • Obtain informed consent for procedures when required.

  • Communicate significant or urgent findings promptly to the appropriate clinical teams.

  • Contribute to the strategic development and improvement of radiology services.

  • Support the implementation of new imaging technologies and clinical protocols.

  • Promote quality assurance, audit, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide teaching and supervision for radiology trainees, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.

  • Support academic or research activities where applicable.

  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, and peer review activities.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and professional guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate and secure medical records in accordance with data protection regulations.

  • Participate in the consultant on-call rota as required.

  • Provide urgent radiological consultation outside standard hours when scheduled.

Job requirements

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain

Must have at least 3-5 years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience

Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
