Job description

Woodston Personnel is seeking a Consultant in Radiation Oncology to join their client at a leading healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia.
This physician will be eligible to diagnose, treat and admit patients as well as being capable of independently providing high quality patient care in Radiation Oncology.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently provide direct patient care in Radiation Oncology (ward rounds, clinics, on-calls)

  • Independently provide consultations to other specialties in the hospital.

  • Evaluate and manage patients referred for radiation therapy and treatment, which include initial assessment, recommendation of treatment, follow-up and management fo treatment side effects.

  • Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and conferences and other related activities.

  • Prescribed and administer radiotherapy dose to patients.

  • Perform intracavitary brachytherapy and verify the insertion.

  • Participate in the department/division administrative meetings.

  • Participate in the department/division educational meetings (journal club, tumor board, lectures, etc.)

  • Participate in the department/deivision research activities.

  • To supervise the sub consultant physicians.

  • Participate in training and education of rotating residents and junior staff members.

  • Perform and over other duties as delegated by the chairman or division head.

  • Adhere strictly to all hospital policies and procedures.

  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Decisions and Judgements: Have a high standard of medical ethics, sense of responsibility as judged by their supervisor and colleagues, demonstrates leadership and administrative skills

Mental Demands: Ability to proficiently achieve/perform all procedures stated in the Medical Staff Patient Care Privileging Form, Knowledgeable of Hospital Medical Staff By-Laws, Certified - Basic Life Support (BLS)

Job requirements

  • Completion of required period of training in Radiation Oncology certificate or fellowship e.g.

    American Board/ Canadian Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship, CCT- UK, Australian, New Zealand, (DES) French Board / Facharzt.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience post certification in Radiation Oncology preferably North American/European/ Australian experience.

  • Eligible for licensure in Saudi Arabia
