Job description
Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Public Health Consultant to join the a leading healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will evaluate the organisation’s programs and their priorities of needs as well as serve as the department’s expert for the assigned assess relatd to Public Health program initiative(s)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, implements and evaluates healthcare programs at the hospital in conjunction with local public health agencies and other provider agencies.
Develops criteria for and conducts on site review of hospital programs to collect and analyze information necessary to evalucate local public health programs.
Develops an interprets rules, policies and procedures related to public health programes and services for implementation by the hospital.
Revise, update and develop policy and procedures for the infection prevention and control manual related to hospital programs.
Develops criteria for the evaluation of hospital programs and conducts evaluations in cooperation with involved staff.
Designs and implements health education and training programs for staff of the hospital
Develops educational materials, newsletters, reports and other documents to enhance public awareness regarding the public health programs.
Participate in preparation and review of the annual report related to public health in the assigned area/region.
Participate in related outbreaks investigations, prepare clinical reports and supervise required intervention as Public Health Coordinator with Infection Prevention and Control Director.
Participate in committes related to community and public health.
Perform clinical duties and consultations related to commicable diseases screening and prevention.
Prepares requests for proposals, program agreements, and related materials for coliciting and establishing hospital supported health programs at the local level.
Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work.
Performs related work as assigned.
Responsibility level: Supervisory
Relationships and Communications: work-stream leads, subordinates, all involved internal disciplines (clinical and non)
Decisions and Judgements: Expected to make major decisions and to provide guidance, advice to subordinate staff on work related matters, has direct influence on the achievement of departmental activities
Mental Demands: High responsible role
Physical Demands: Perpetual interaction with relevant stakeholders

Job requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Higher certificated degree (certified board in preventive Medicine/Community Medicine - PhD or equivalent
Residency/Fellowship Training Program in Public Health approved by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties
3 - 5 years of position related experience in Public Health
3 - 5 years in Epidemiology
English - essential
Arabic - preferred
