Job description

Woodston Personnel are seeking a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Consultant to join the surgical team of a highly reputable medical facility in Saudi Arabia. The Consultant will provide comprehensive surgical care in the diagnosis and management of complex oral, facial, and jaw conditions, and will contribute to education, research, and clinical excellence within the department.

Duties and Responsbilities

  • Provide expert diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical intervention for patients with oral, facial, and maxillofacial conditions

  • Perform complex procedures including orthognathic surgery, facial trauma repair, head and neck pathology, TMJ disorders, and reconstructive surgery

  • Collaborate with dental, ENT, oncology, and plastic surgery departments on multidisciplinary cases

  • Oversee outpatient and inpatient surgical consultations, pre-operative assessments, and post-operative care

  • Participate in the training and supervision of residents, fellows, and junior staff

  • Contribute to departmental quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives

  • Engage in clinical audits, continuing education, and research activities within the specialty

  • Attend and actively contribute to departmental meetings, surgical case reviews, and academic conferences

Job requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

  • US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain

  • Must have at least 3-5 years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience

  • Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
