Job description
Woodston Personnel are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant in Adult Rheumatology to join the international team of a premier healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The Consultant will provide expert clinical services in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders. The role encompasses outpatient and inpatient care, multidisciplinary collaboration, supervision of junior medical staff, and participation in clinical governance, research, and teaching activities.
Duties and Responsbilities
Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of autoimmune and rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, scleroderma, and gout
Interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies related to rheumatological diseases
Provide expert advice and consultation to other specialties on rheumatologic aspects of multisystem diseases
Perform and supervise joint injections and other relevant diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Develop individualized treatment plans using the latest evidence-based guidelines and biologic therapies
Educate and supervise junior staff, residents, and fellows
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and hospital committees
Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education
Contribute to research and development in the field of rheumatology

Skills and Computencies
Clinical excellence in the field of adult rheumatology
Familiarity with the latest therapeutic advancements including biologics and targeted therapies

Job requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain with recognised Subspecialty Certification, Fellowship in Rheumatology from a recognise training programme
Minimum of 3–4 years post-board/fellowship clinical experience in Rheumatology
Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
