Woodston Personnel have an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Resource Nurse with our client in Saudi Arabia.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain high visibility in the area(s) of assignment (90% clinical presence).
  • Ensure that nursing staff complies with hospital infection control and safety protocols, and act as a role model for best-practice in upholding standards within infection control and patient safety.
  • Develop educational strategies to resolve deficits in conjunction with Nursing Education and Nurse Manager.
  • Ensure staff is educated and complies with hospital policies to ensure safe patient care.
  • Act as a resource, mentor, coach and a role model in upholding evidence based practice.
  • Work at bedside with nursing staff/students with a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week to validate skills and knowledge are consistently applied ensuring adherence to quality assurance at all times.
  • Actively participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of unit-based orientation & competency assessments.
  • Assist with development and update of policy and procedure as required.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in managing deteriorating patient.
  • Responsible for the coordination of mandatory unit specific competencies and privileges. Assist and validate clinical knowledge and competency of staff/students/interns and escalates non-performance to Nurse Managers, as necessary.
  • Coordinate unit-based periodic mock drills, debriefs and actions as required. Participate in briefing/debriefing sessions such as codes, mortality/morbidity case reviews and staff patient conflict issues.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring clinical indicators in the assigned area; and assign/evaluate nursing staff accordingly.
  • Identify and assess learning needs of nursing staff/students, while assisting in planning, implementing and evaluating skill development programs with the Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator and University faculty.
  • Act as a resource, mentor and coach to nursing staff/students to provide high quality evidence-based patient care. Deliver training programs, as and when necessary.
  • Assess in implementation of professional development plan related to nursing staff/student/intern performance as needed and maintain timely and up-to-date documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, accreditation and patient safety processes and activities.
  • Comply with area specific duties with precise policies which will be provided in the addendum by the supervisor when hired/assigned for special units which must be signed by the employee and filed in that employee's personal file in addition to this job description.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of educational activities under the direction and supervision of Nursing Education.
  • Performs other job related duties.

Physical Demands:
Ability to work hours as assigned which may include on call, overtime, weekends, night duties, holidays and any shift as required in different units based on skill privileges either permanent or temporary float basis.
Coverage during emergencies/ other unplanned unprecedented occasions; occasional overtime, on call, weekend, holidays work might be required
Training in safe practices related to work environment
Must be in and maintain good physical health; psychological strains

Job requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution – Essential or Diploma in Nursing (Western standard for those who graduated before the availability of Bachelor Degree) - Essential
  • Current licensure as a professional registered nurse – Essential
  • Specific Certification as required in area of assignment/education – Preferred
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years’ current clinical nursing experience following licensure/registration in the country of origin with basic leadership experience - Essential
  • Meet additional requirements for specialty areas as defined in the addendum when hired/transferred to those special units - Essential
  • English Language - Level I -Essential
  • Arabic Language  - Preferred
  • Computers - Level III - Essential
